Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in McKinney, TX seeks a Senior Benefits Specialist to lead health and retirement programs, designing quality plans and overseeing vendor relationships. You will manage the 401(k) program, funding and audits, ensuring ERISA/ACA compliance and effective employee communications.

The role collaborates with Finance, Controllership and Payroll to optimize benefits costs and deliver strategic program enhancements, with strong emphasis on reporting and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in employee benefits and retirement programs.
• Deep benefits expertise with emphasis on reporting, controls and management of the US 401(k) plan, funding, audits.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, 125, workers’ comp, Medicare, OBRA, Social Security and DOL).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects under deadlines with proactive planning.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of plan design and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic expert to leadership for US retirement programs.
• Develop and maintain engagement framework with Finance, Controllership and Payroll.
• Design materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment; train employees on new programs.
• Analyze current benefits for cost, coverage, and competitiveness; identify strategic stance.
• Forecast trends and develop recommendations for management review.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and timely reporting and fees.
• Oversee budgeting and cost containment; manage vendor invoicing and fund reconciliation.
• Manage 401(k) funding process, reconciling trust and required audits.
