Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in the United States seeks a General Manager/Operating Partner to lead the drive-in’s operations and employees, ensuring guest satisfaction and compliant daily performance. This role requires recruiting and developing staff, managing labor and costs, and maintaining high standards across all shifts.

You will oversee opening/closing, address guest and employee concerns, and drive local marketing and business performance while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of labor laws and health & safety regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, leadership, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage and lead staff.
• Supervise operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Plan, forecast, and adjust labor, food, and inventory to control costs.
• Lead team meetings and maintain records.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Open and close drive-in; manage vendor performance.
• Regular attendance and sanitation duties.
