Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Michigan seeks a General Manager/Operating Partner to lead daily drive-in operations, drive guest satisfaction, and manage a team of assistant managers and staff. The role oversees staffing, training, scheduling, inventory, and cost controls to maximize profitability.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, develop local marketing initiatives, and maintain records and reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.
• Basic computer, math, accounting, and reading skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction and operational standards.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and supervise staff.
• Manage opening/closing duties and plan regular team meetings.
• Forecast, plan, and adjust labor, inventory, and costs to maximize efficiency and cost-control.
• Maintain proper records and prepare operational reports.
• Develop and manage local marketing initiatives and business performance.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies and ensure equipment maintenance.
