Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Michigan is seeking a General Manager/Operating Partner to lead and manage the drive-in’s operations and employees, delivering an exceptional guest experience while meeting financial goals.

Responsibilities include recruiting and coaching staff, managing schedules and costs, ensuring compliance with policies and laws, and maintaining equipment and records. This role requires a minimum 50-hour week, strong leadership, and hands-on supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• 3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably QSR.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, safety standards, and food service operations.
• Proven ability to lead teams, recruit staff, and manage costs.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and lead assistant managers and staff.
• Supervise all drive-in operations to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Plan, forecast, and control food, labor, and inventory costs.
• Lead regular team meetings and maintain records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Oversee opening/closing duties and vendor performance.
• Handle guest and employee issues escalations.
