B&B Concrete is seeking a senior estimator with deep reinforcing-steel experience to drive estimating, preconstruction and detailing for complex projects. The candidate will integrate estimating standards, cost databases and production-rate planning with project management and field teams.

The role requires drawing reviews, labor/material pricing, risk assessment and collaboration with managers, engineers and vendors. Remote work and periodic travel may be involved.

Formación

• 7+ years reinforcing-steel industry experience.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel.
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Experience with large commercial, industrial, wastewater, infrastructure or other concrete-intensive projects.

Responsabilidades

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from structural drawings and specifications.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment, freight and other project costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project-specific conditions.
• Analyze bar sizes, tonnage, congestion, splice requirements, couplers, dowels, embeds and other reinforcing requirements.
• Review plans and specifications for scope gaps, discrepancies and constructability concerns.
• Identify project risks and potential cost exposures before bid submission.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates.
• Assist management in establishing final bid strategy and selling price.
• Solicit and evaluate material, fabrication, freight and subcontractor pricing when required.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and assumptions.
