Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a senior Rebar Estimator/Lead Estimator to support estimating, detailing, and project management. This role will interact with engineering, field teams, and management to establish standards and reliable cost estimates for reinforcing steel on complex projects.

Ideal candidates have substantial reinforcing-steel experience, with strong capacity to review drawings, develop labor/material pricing, and communicate risk.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry with estimating/detaling focus.
• Experience with large concrete/industrial projects is preferred.
• Ability to review plans/specs for scope gaps and constructability are required.
• Strong mathematical/analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings/specs.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor, equipment and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability issues.
• Prepare conceptual to final estimates and assist bid strategy.
