Qualifications
- Experience upgrading z/OS and mass maintenance.
- Knowledge of JES2, HCD/IODF, SMP/E, WLM, OMVS/USS, SMF/RMF, ASM, GRS, SDSF, TSO and RACF.
- Strong TCP/IP and VTAM networking knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical teams and set upgrade strategies for z/OS environments.
- Design standardized approaches for z/OS upgrades and mass maintenance.
- Optimize system performance and reduce operational complexity.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM and ISV software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan OS upgrades.
- Create documentation and templates for OS rollouts.
- Drive adoption of new technologies to support strategic goals.
- Serve as SME for mainframe infrastructure projects.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for escalated incidents.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend support.
