Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. This full-time, remote role will deliver in-person and virtual training, create patient-centric education materials, and drive ongoing coder education improvements across the enterprise.

You will partner with coding leadership to identify needs, design sessions, and implement scalable programs, including train-the-trainer sessions for supervisors and leads.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in medical coding including physician revenue cycle workflows.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and facilitate coding education for coders and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Coding Leadership and IT leadership to align education programs.
• Present coding and documentation education through in-person and virtual sessions.
• Identify coder educational needs and develop targeted programs.
• Apply adult learning concepts to design effective trainings.
• Develop and maintain web-based coding education and trainer resources.
