Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. This full-time, fully remote role involves delivering and developing coding education for coders and clinicians across the organization.

You will align with leadership to schedule trainings, track progress, and update educational content. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in medical coding, strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/CPT/HCPCS, and AHIMA or AAPC certifications.

Qualifications

• Recent production coding and/or coding integrity experience preferred.
• Specialty coding experience in surgical, anesthesia, and other physician specialties preferred.
• Certification in coding from AHIMA or AAPC is required.

Responsibilities

• Presents coding and documentation education for initial training and continuing education.
• Develops and maintains coding education programs and materials.
• Schedules and delivers in-person and virtual trainings for coders and clinicians.
• Identifies educational needs and coordinates with leadership to provide sessions.
