Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for our Civil Construction team. This remote role requires EST or CST availability and may include occasional travel, with a salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 per year.

The ideal candidate will produce self-perform heavy civil estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure best value and timely submissions. A bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering and at least 10 years of estimating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience estimating federal projects preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs, scopes, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size, scope, and mix.
• Furnish accurate quantity take-off information and assess total construction costs.
• Identify, source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify, quantify, and evaluate risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with project team for each estimate and meet submission deadlines.
• Support constructability reviews with designers and subcontractors; propose alternatives.
• Obtain and vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure complete scope coverage.
