Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for our Civil Construction group. This remote role requires EST or CST availability and occasional travel.

You will prepare detailed estimates from plans, specs, and scopes of work to support self-perform civil projects. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, a construction management or civil engineering degree, and familiarity with Bid2Win or HCSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Federal project estimating experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings and specs.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates from project plans and scopes.
• Furnish quantity takeoffs and detailed material lists for costs.
• Identify, source and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for operations.
• Prepare inquiries to clients and coordinate with project team.
• Collaborate with field and office professionals on estimates.
• Meet milestones and facilitate constructability/productivity reviews.
• Vet subcontractor pricing to ensure full scope coverage.
• Interact with operations post-award to address site conditions.
