Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator for our civil construction practice. This remote role requires EST/CST availability and periodic travel, with a salary range of $120,000–$140,000 annually.

You will lead self-perform heavy civil cost estimates, manage quantity takeoffs, and coordinate with subcontractors to achieve best-value bids. Ideal candidates have 10+ years' heavy civil estimating experience, a construction-management or civil-engineering background, and proficiency with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering is preferred.
10+ years estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
Experience estimating federal projects is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, and schedules.

Responsibilities

Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates based on project size and scope.
Furnish quantity takeoffs and materials lists with cost insights.
Source and analyze subcontractor quotes to determine best-value partnerships.
Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for estimates.
Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings and scopes of work.
Collaborate with field and office teams to meet submission deadlines.
Support constructability reviews and explore alternate approaches.
