Job summary

SES Constructors LLC is seeking a Lead Estimator to join our Civil Construction team in a remote role. The position requires working in EST or CST and may include travel.

You will develop detailed heavy civil estimates from plans, specs, and scopes of work. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, 10+ years in heavy civil estimating, and experience with self-perform contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.
• At least 10 years of heavy civil estimating experience.
• Experience with self-perform civil infrastructure scopes.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs.
• Proficiency with Bid2Win (B2W) and HCSS Heavy Bid.

Responsibilities

• Produce self-perform heavy civil cost estimates including crew assemblies and production rates.
• Furnish accurate quantity takeoffs to list materials and total costs.
• Identify, source and analyze subcontractor/vendor quotes for best value.
• Identify and mitigate risks and plan operations accordingly.
• Prepare inquiries to clients regarding drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with field and office teams to prepare estimates.
• Meet milestones and reviews to meet submission deadlines.
• Vet subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure scope coverage.
