Job summary

Affirm is building a de novo bank and this role will establish and scale its operating foundation. You will own the Finxact core and digital banking experiences, lead deposits and lending operations strategy, and partner with servicing teams to build resilient, well-controlled processes that deliver transparent, reliable financial products.

You will drive operational readiness, test and release cycles, and oversee end-to-end bank operations including deposits, lending, risk, and vendor

Qualifications

• 8+ years in banking operations, digital banking, or core-platform delivery.
• Experience with core banking platforms; Finxact preferred.
• Experience owning digital account-opening and online/mobile platforms.
• Knowledge of deposits, lending ops, risk controls, and regulatory expectations.
• Proven ability to design and operate controls and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Own Finxact core system configuration, pricing, accounts and ledger mappings.
• Oversee Savana-based digital banking experiences and test/release cycles.
• Lead operational launch readiness, staffing, training and cutover activities.
• Direct deposit operations: ACH/wire, account funding, reconciliations, fraud support.
• Direct lending operations: underwriting validation, funding approvals, journal entries.
• Oversee loan purchases/sales and related audits.
• Maintain governance, controls, risk, and compliance with policies.
• Lead a high-performing operations team with clear decision rights and metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, Risk and Compliance.
