Job summary

Affirm is building a de novo bank and seeks a seasoned Operations leader to own and scale its core banking operations. You will manage Finxact as the core system of record and lead deposit and lending operations strategy, working with servicing teams to deliver transparent, reliable financial products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in banking operations, digital banking, fintech, or core-platform delivery.
• Experience implementing or administering a core banking platform (Finxact or similar).
• Experience owning digital account-opening and online/mobile banking platforms and coordinating integrations.
• Deep knowledge of deposit and lending operations including ACH, wires, checks, and funding.
• Ability to design and operate controls including segregation of duties, reconciliations, and audits.
• Familiarity with SQL, data pipelines, and BI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the Finxact core system implementation, configuration, and administration.
• Manage Savana and integrated digital account-opening platforms, drive requirements, testing, and releases.
• Lead operational launch readiness including procedures, staffing, training, and cutover.
• Direct deposit operations: balancing Fed activity, funding, ACH/wires, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee lending operations, underwriting validation, funding approvals, and journal entries.
• Oversee loan purchase/sale, documentation quality, and settlement audits.
• Build and maintain operational controls and governance, including risk and compliance coordination.
• Manage vendor relationships and service levels for core platforms and digital banking services.
• Lead a high-performing Bank Operations team with clear decision rights and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Accounting, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and external partners to design scalable workflows.
