Job summary

Affirm seeks a Bank Operations leader to build and scale a de novo bank’s operating foundation. You will own Finxact core, online/mobile experiences, and deposit/lending operations, partnering with servicing teams to deliver transparent, compliant processes.

You’ll design the control environment, supervise a high‑performing ops team, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance to deliver reliable financial products at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in banking operations or fintech with leadership.
• Hands-on core banking platform experience; Finxact preferred.
• Experience with digital account opening and online/mobile banking.
• Deep knowledge of deposit and lending operations.
• Ability to design controls, segregation of duties, and audits.
• Understanding of bank regulatory expectations.
• Experience managing technology vendors and incidents.
• Strong communication to translate between stakeholders.
• Experience building a de novo bank or core conversion; SQL familiarity a plus.
• Willingness for periodic after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Own Finxact core system implementation and configuration.
• Oversee digital account opening and online/mobile banking delivery.
• Lead launch readiness, staffing, and cutover processes.
• Manage daily deposit operations and reconciliations.
• Direct lending operations and funding processes.
• Oversee loan purchase/sale operations and audits.
• Maintain controls, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Compliance to design scalable workflows.
• Develop and lead a high-performing Bank Operations team.
