Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to lead protection and control system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for substation and industrial facilities across North America.

The role emphasizes safety leadership, project execution, and customer interaction, with mentoring of Relay Technician I/II and junior engineers. The candidate will analyze protection schemes, perform end-to-end tests with relay test equipment, and manage large-scale commissioning projects,

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing, testing, and repairing protective relays in substations.
• Troubleshoot distribution and transmission controls circuits.
• Knowledge of relay test software.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and uphold a strong safety culture.
• Analyze protection schemes and perform commissioning for power circuits and systems.
• Manage project plans, outage sequences, and energization plans for large-scale projects.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and junior engineers in protection and control practices.
