Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to lead protection and control testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting at substations and industrial facilities across North America.

The role emphasizes safety, technical leadership, and customer interaction, with opportunities for mentorship and project leadership. Travel and overtime may be required to support large-scale commissioning and maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in transmission, generation, or distribution substations.
• Ability to troubleshoot protection and control circuits across a wide range of applications.
• Strong communication and leadership to mentor junior technicians and interface with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and enforce safety policies on job sites.
• Analyze protection schemes and perform installation, commissioning, and testing of relay panels and control circuits.
• Execute advanced end-to-end and functional testing using relay test equipment and software.
• Prepare test reports, relay settings verifications, and commissioning documentation.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and communicate with customers and stakeholders.
