Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to lead protection and control testing and commissioning across substations and industrial facilities.

You will analyze protection schemes, supervise relay panel work, and drive project execution while ensuring safety and reliability for clients. The role emphasizes technical leadership, on-site teamwork, documentation, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in protection and control.
• NETA III/IV certification preferred.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and enforce safety policies on job sites.
• Analyze protection schemes and supervise installation, commissioning and testing of relay panels.
• Perform advanced end-to-end testing using relay test equipment and software.
• Lead root-cause analysis for relay trips and disturbances.
• Manage project plans, schedules, and field activities for large commissioning projects.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and junior engineers; interface with customers and stakeholders.
