Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to serve as technical lead for protection and control systems. The role focuses on advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and complete project execution across substation and industrial environments.

Ideal candidates bring deep protection schemes expertise, strong project leadership, and the ability to mentor junior staff while interfacing with utilities and customers to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen required.

• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Hands-on experience installing and testing protective relays.
• Knowledge of relay test software.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection and control testing and commissioning on projects.
• Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and systems.
• Install, commission, test, and perform functional testing on relay panels and switching gear.
• Read and validate protection schematics and system configurations.
• Develop project execution plans, outage sequences, and energization plans.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and interface with customers.
