Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Senior Relay Technician to lead protection and control testing across substation and industrial sites. You will perform advanced testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and full project execution with a focus on safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have extensive relay experience, strong fault analysis, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while coordinating field activities and interfacing with clients.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, maintaining, testing and repairing protective relays.
• Knowledge of relay test software and protective relay schemes.
• Willing to travel and overtime as required.
• Ability to read schematics and execute tests.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce safety policies.
• Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and systems.
• Perform installation, commissioning, testing on relay panels and breakers.
• Read, interpret, and validate protection schematics and configurations.
• Develop project execution plans, outage sequences, and energization plans.
• Train Relay Technician I, II and junior engineers.
• Interface with customers, utilities, and stakeholders to communicate status.
