Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) seeks a Sr. Relay Technician to serve as the technical lead for protection and control systems, overseeing testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and full project execution.

The role requires deep expertise in relay schemes, project leadership, and customer interaction while ensuring safe, reliable operation of substations and industrial control systems. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, testing, and repairing protective relays in substation settings.
• Ability to read protection and control schematics and validate configurations.
• Experience leading field teams and coordinating complex commissioning projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection and control testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project execution.
• Perform installation and functional testing of substation relay panels and breakers.
• Analyze protection schemes and data to ensure reliability and safety.
• Develop plans, procedures, and energization sequences for projects.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and junior engineers onsite.
