Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Relay Technician to serve as technical lead for protection and control systems, overseeing testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and full project execution.

The role emphasizes analyzing protection schemes, leading field teams, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of substation and industrial systems. You will interact with customers and stakeholders, mentor junior staff, and drive quality documentation including test results, relay settings, and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or engineering.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • NETA III/IV certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and lift 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety briefings and enforce safety policies on job sites.
  • Analyze protection schemes and perform installation, testing, and commissioning of relay panels and control circuits.
  • Execute advanced end-to-end and functional testing with relay test equipment and software.
  • Read and validate protection schematics and system configurations; calibrate electromechanical and microprocessor relays.
  • Develop project execution plans, outages, and energization sequences; manage large, complex projects.
