Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) seeks a Senior Relay Technician to lead protection and control testing, troubleshooting, and full project execution for substation and industrial systems. You will analyze protection schemes, manage field teams, and ensure safe, reliable operation while interacting with customers.

The role demands deep technical expertise, hands-on relay work, and strong communication skills to deliver high-quality results and drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/electronic technology.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• NETA III/IV certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and enforce safety culture on job sites.
• Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and related systems.
• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of substation relay panels.
• Execute advanced end-to-end and functional testing with relay test equipment.
• Read and validate protection schematics and system configurations.
• Lead root cause analysis for relay trips, failures, and disturbances.
• Develop project plans, procedures, and energization/outage sequences.
• Coordinate resources and field activities to ensure on-time delivery.
• Produce comprehensive reports and as-built documentation.
• Mentor Relay Technician I/II and interact with customers and stakeholders.
