Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior estimator to lead reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs, develop comprehensive estimates, and support preconstruction with risk analysis and bid strategy. The role requires expertise in detailing and estimating for large concrete projects and coordinating with management and field teams.

Remote-friendly position with periodic site travel and collaboration with the President/Executive Management.

Qualifications

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills required for estimating and cost analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors and field personnel.
• Experience with reinforcing-steel detailing and estimating processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor and equipment.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project specifics.
• Identify risks and potential cost exposures before bid submission.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates and support bid strategy.
