Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior professional to serve as a remote-reward estimator/lead for reinforcing steel. You will guide estimating, detailing, and preconstruction activities in collaboration with project management and operations to set standards and databases.

The role emphasizes developing cost models, improving processes, and mentoring junior staff while supporting bids and project execution across diverse concrete projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry.
• Experience with large concrete projects.
• Strong reading of structural drawings.
• Familiarity with ACI and CRSI requirements.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, RebarCAD, aSa, Tekla, SDS/2.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability.
• Prepare conceptual to final estimates and bid pricing.
