Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior Estimator/Detailer to support estimating, project management, and operations. The role focuses on reinforcing-steel takeoffs, cost development, and detailing coordination for large concrete projects.

Remote work is possible with periodic travels to project sites and meetings. The ideal candidate has substantial hands-on reinforcing-steel experience, can review drawings, and provide reliable cost estimates with constructability insights.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry experience; 10+ preferred.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel and detailing.
• Ability to review structural drawings and specs for detailing requirements.
• Familiarity with large concrete projects and constructability concerns.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions for bids.
• Coordinate RFIs related to reinforcing steel and revisions.
• Assist management in bid strategy and pricing.
