B&B Concrete is seeking a senior Estimator/Detailer to serve as a technical resource for estimating, project management and operations. The role focuses on reinforcing‑steel takeoffs, costing and preconstruction processes across diverse concrete projects.

You will review drawings, develop labor and material pricing, and help shape bid strategy while mentoring junior staff and expanding the estimating/detailing department.

Qualifications

• 7+ years reinforcing‑steel industry experience or more.
• Strong ability to read structural drawings and specs.
• Experience estimating major reinforcing projects and detailing work.
• Knowledge of fabrication/field placement and industry practices.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete reinforcing‑steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment, freight and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project conditions.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates.
• Assist management with bid strategy and pricing.
• Coordinate RFIs related to reinforcing steel and review shop/placing drawings.
