Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior Rebar Estimator to serve as a technical resource for estimating, project management, and operations. The role requires reviewing structural drawings, performing takeoffs, and developing labor and material pricing for concrete projects.

The candidate should have substantial reinforcing-steel experience, be able to work remotely, and travel periodically to project sites and meetings. This is a leadership-facing estimating position with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Versatile reinforcing-steel estimator with hands-on industry experience.
• Ability to prepare material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor and other cost estimates.
• Review drawings/specifications for scope gaps and constructability issues.
• Develop historical cost data and production-rate benchmarks.
• Mentor junior estimators and establish standardized estimating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment, and costs.
• Establish labor hours and production rates based on project conditions.
• Coordinate reinforcing steel with other disciplines and RFIs.
• Review shop/placing drawings for accuracy and constructability.
