Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior estimator to lead reinforcing-steel takeoffs, estimates, and detailing for large-scale projects. The role blends estimating, project management support, and preconstruction collaboration with field teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in reinforcing-steel estimation, detailing, and familiarity with major CAD/BIM tools. A strong analytical mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel for large projects.
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, RebarCAD, aSa, Tekla, SDS/2 or comparable software.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor, equipment, freight and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production rates; identify risks and cost exposures.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates; assist bid strategy and pricing.
