Job summary

B&B Concrete seeks a senior Rebar Estimator/Detailer to spearhead estimating, detailing, and preconstruction activities. You will review structural drawings, perform reinforcing-steel takeoffs, develop pricing, and drive standardized estimating procedures.

The ideal candidate has extensive reinforcement-steel experience, strong CAD literacy (AutoCAD, RebarCAD, Tekla, SDS/2), and the ability to mentor junior staff while coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive reinforcement steel experience with concrete industry.
• Ability to read structural drawings and specifications for detailing.
• Proven track record in estimating major reinforcing-steel bids.
• Experience with estimating software and production-rate databases.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor and equipment.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Coordinate with PMs/engineers and field teams to resolve issues.
• Lead and mentor junior estimators and detailers.
