B&B Concrete is seeking a senior estimator with hands-on reinforcing-steel experience to join our remote-ready estimating team. This role blends estimating, project management, and operations, defining standards, cost databases, and preconstruction processes.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in reinforcing steel, familiarity with detailing software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, RebarCAD, Tekla, SDS/2) and the ability to develop reliable cost estimates for complex projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years reinforcing-steel industry experience.
• Significant experience estimating reinforcing steel on large projects.
• Strong ability to read structural drawings and detailing requirements.
• Experience with fabrication and field placement knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment, freight and other project costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project conditions.
• Identify constructability issues and bid risks before submission.
• Coordinate with project management and field personnel to resolve detailing issues.
• Assist management in bid strategy and pricing.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and assumptions.
