Zusammenfassung

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior Rebar Estimator to serve as a technical resource for estimating, project management and operations teams. You will help establish estimating standards, production rates, cost databases and preconstruction processes for reinforcing steel.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in reinforcing steel, strong reading of structural drawings, and the ability to work with project teams to resolve constructability issues.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years reinforcing-steel experience, preferably 10+ years
• Extensive experience estimating reinforcing steel
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings
• Experience with large concrete, heavy civil or wastewater projects
• Strong ability to read structural drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of reinforcement fabrication and field placement
• Familiarity with ACI/CRSI standards and related practices
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation or similar software

Aufgaben

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor and other project costs
• Establish labor hours and production rates
• Coordinate with project management and field personnel
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability
• Assist management with bid strategy and pricing
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and assumptions
• Lead and mentor junior estimators and detailers
