B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a seasoned Rebar Estimator/Detailer to join our remote team. You will act as a technical resource for estimating, project management and operations, shaping our estimating standards, cost databases, and preconstruction processes.

The ideal candidate brings substantial hands-on experience in reinforcing steel, with the ability to review drawings, develop labor and material pricing, and provide reliable cost estimates with risk analysis.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry experience
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel for large projects
• Detailing reinforcing steel and reviewing placing drawings
• Strong reading of structural drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with fabrication and field placement practices
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, RebarCAD or similar software

Responsabilités

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor, equipment and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Analyze bar sizes, tonnage, splices, dowels and detailing requirements.
• Review plans for gaps, discrepancies and constructability concerns.
• Identify risks and cost exposures before bid submission.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates.
• Assist management with bid strategy and pricing.
• Solicit and evaluate material, fabrication and subcontractor pricing.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and assumptions.
