Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking a senior professional to lead estimating, detailing, and preconstruction activities for reinforcing steel. You will independently review drawings, develop cost estimates, coordinate with project teams, and help establish estimating standards.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of experience, a track record building historical cost data and department development, and a strong grasp of production-rate benchmarks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry with hands-on experience.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel for large projects.
• Ability to review structural drawings and detailing requirements.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar detailing software is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, and labor cost estimates.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Lead and mentor junior estimators as the department grows.
