Job summary

B&B Concrete is seeking an experienced Rebar Estimator to become a technical resource for estimating, project management, and operations. You will help establish estimating standards, cost databases, and preconstruction processes across projects.

The ideal candidate has substantial hands-on experience in reinforcing-steel, preferably with fabricators or major concrete contractors, and can review drawings, perform takeoffs, and develop reliable estimates with associated risks.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in reinforcing-steel estimation and detailing.
• Ability to review drawings for constructability and risks.
• Experience with large concrete projects.
• Understanding ACI/CRSI guidelines and fabrication processes.
• Mentoring junior estimators and developing standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, and labor cost estimates.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Identify risks and bid-price drivers before submission.
• Lead standard estimating procedures and tooling development.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, and field teams.
