B&B Concrete Contractors seeks a senior estimator to lead reinforcing-steel bidding, takeoffs and cost control across heavy-civil and industrial projects. You will work with estimating, project management and field teams to establish standards, production rates and historical cost data.

The role requires deep knowledge of structural drawings, reinforcing steel fabrication, and access to software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, RebarCAD, aSa, Tekla or SDS/2. Remote work supported with periodic travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry or equivalent
• Strong ability to read structural drawings and specifications
• Experience with large concrete-intensive projects and wastewater/industrial work
• Experience estimating major reinforcing-steel bids and preparing estimates
• Ability to develop historical cost data and estimating templates
• Knowledge of fabrication and field placement of reinforcing steel
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, RebarCAD, aSa, Tekla, SDS/2 or comparable software

Responsabilités

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing and labor cost estimates.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions for projects.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability issues.
• Identify risks and cost exposures before bid submission.
• Prepare conceptual to final estimates and support bid strategy.
• Coordinate pricing with material, fabrication, freight and subs contractors.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and assumptions.
