Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Real Estate Appraiser to lead complex valuations for commercial properties, from scope definition to USPAP-compliant reports. Responsibilities include independent report preparation, market research, and client-facing presentations.

The role requires a Certified General Appraiser license, 3–6 years of CRE valuation experience, and excellent writing and communication skills. Base draw plus commissions and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, economics, or finance; MS/MBA preferred.
• Must hold state Certified General Appraiser license.
• 3–6 years of experience as a commercial real estate appraiser.
• Strong writing of appraisal reports and reviews.
• Knowledge of real property valuation concepts and CRE terminology.
• Experience with Argus is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete appraisal reports independently on complex properties.
• Perform market and income analyses and defend conclusions to clients and lenders.
• Oversee QA/QC and regulatory compliance; mentor junior staff.
• Engage in client meetings and support business development.
