Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Real Estate Appraiser to lead complex valuations across commercial assets, from scope through USPAP-compliant reports. The role includes market analysis, asset evaluation, and presenting conclusions to clients and lenders.

You will conduct independent appraisals, supervise QA/QC, mentor staff, and participate in business development efforts while maintaining knowledge of zoning and appraisal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate or related field; MS/MBA preferred.
• Certified General Appraiser License (state-specific).
• 3–6 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience.
• Experience writing appraisals for complex properties.
• Strong analytical and writing skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete appraisal reports independently on complex properties.
• Conduct market evaluations to establish value for commercial properties.
• Perform income, sales comparison, and cost approaches analyses.
• Mentor junior staff and support proposals and business development.
• Inspect properties and ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance.
• Engage in client meetings and stay current with regulations.
