Job summary

Newmark Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Real Estate Appraiser to lead complex valuations across commercial properties, from scope definition through USPAP-compliant reports for mortgage underwriting and portfolio analysis.

The role includes delivering independent appraisal reports, analyzing market data, and presenting conclusions to clients and lenders. A base draw of $50,000 against commissions applies, with potential equity participation in some markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in real estate or related fields (economics, finance).
• Must hold state Certified General Appraiser License.
• 3–6 years CRE appraisal experience.
• Experience writing complex appraisal reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete appraisal reports independently on complex properties.
• Conduct market, income, sales comparison analyses and defend conclusions to clients.
• Mentor junior staff and support proposals and business development.
• Ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance; manage assignments and client meetings.
