Job summary

Prime Controls is seeking a QA/QC Field Inspector to perform quality control inspections and testing of field-installed instrumentation devices and control panels, following NEC, UL 508A & 698A standards and site drawings.

The role requires an AA in Electrical Technology or equivalent, 5+ years of experience, and a State Journeyman License. Candidates should be able to test 120 VAC, 24VDC, and 480V systems and interpret P&IDs and drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical equivalent in Electrical Technology.
• 5+ years of related field experience.
• State Journeyman License required.
• Ability to power up and test 120 VAC, 24VDC, and 480V electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits.

Responsibilities

• Develop written reports highlighting opportunities for improvement with factual findings.
• Communicate findings to team to drive performance improvements.
• Analyze quality findings and recommend corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
• Properly use electrical test equipment and verify wiring tags.
• Verify BOMs for panels and instrumentation devices.
• Adhere to safety and environmental rules to protect personnel and public.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
