Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking a QA/QC Field Inspector to perform quality control inspections and testing of field installed instrumentation devices and fabricated panels, following NEC, UL 508A and 698A standards and site drawings.

The role involves developing reports, communicating findings to the team, analyzing quality data, and ensuring safe, compliant installations while adhering to project schedules.

Qualifications

• AA Electrical Technology degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• State Journeyman License.
• Ability to power up and test 120 VAC, 24VDC, and 480V systems.
• Understanding of NEC/UL standards.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop written reports outlining opportunities for improvement based on factual findings.
• Communicate findings to team to drive performance improvements.
• Analyze quality findings and provide corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
• Use electrical test equipment to inspect field installations.
• Verify BOM, panels, and wiring tags for accuracy.
• Adhere to safety and environmental rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
