Job summary

Prime Controls is seeking a QA/QC Field Inspector to perform quality control inspections and testing of field-installed instrumentation and control panels in accordance with NEC, UL 508A & 698A, and site drawings. The role emphasizes accurate reporting, collaboration with the team, and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has an AA in Electrical Technology or related field, a State Journeyman License, and 5+ years of relevant experience, with the ability to test multiple voltages

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• State Journeyman License.
• Ability to power up/test 120 VAC, 24 VDC, and 480 VAC safely.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with ProCore, CxAlloy, BIM360 Field.

Responsibilities

• Develop written reports showing opportunities for improvement based on findings.
• Communicate findings to team to drive performance improvements.
• Analyze quality findings and propose corrective actions to minimize recurrence.
• Use electrical test equipment and verify BOMs for panels and devices.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
