Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Huntsville, AL seeks a seasoned Solutions Architect to lead integration of programmatic, technical, and systems engineering elements across public safety projects. You will partner with Project Managers, application specialists, and customers to align requirements with the solution architecture.

Requires 6+ years in engineering/public safety deployments; travel up to 25–50%; strong presentation skills; ability to diagram concepts in Visio and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• 6+ years engineering/technical experience in public safety deployments or 8+ years in delivering public safety projects as an alternative.
• Excellent presentation skills; adept at drawing/diagramming tools (Visio or equivalent).
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Integrate programmatic, technical, systems engineering, business, and personnel elements of a project.
• Understand requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture; align with customer needs with Pre/Post-Sales.
• Lead and defend the project's technical and programmatic decisions; mitigate expectation mismatches with PM.
• Tailor and apply change management and systems engineering processes with customers and engineering teams.
• Assist PM in developing and managing costs and schedules by identifying technical risks and mitigations.
• Participate as the technical counterpart to the PM in third-party, customer, and internal meetings.
