Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Columbia, SC is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to lead the technical and programmatic decisions across public safety projects, coordinating with pre- and post-sales, project managers, customers, software developers, and other resources to ensure successful deployments. The role requires a BS/AS in engineering or a similar technical field with 6+ years of experience, strong presentation skills, willingness to travel up to 25–50%, and U.S.

work authorization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, or Technical field plus 6+ years of Engineering and Technical experience.
• Candidates without a College Degree must have 8+ years of Engineering or Technical experience to qualify.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Integrate programmatic, technical, systems engineering, business, and personnel elements of a project.
• Understand the technical requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution.
• Lead and defend the project's technical and programmatic decisions; mitigate mismatches with the Project Manager.
• Tailor and apply change management and systems engineering processes with customer and engineering teams.
