Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to join the team in the United States, driving technical design and programmatic decisions for flagship public-safety deployments. You will collaborate with Pre- and Post-Sales teams, engineers, and customers to ensure architecture aligns with customer needs and project goals.

The ideal candidate has a BS/Associates in engineering or 6+ years in delivering Public Safety projects, excellent Visio-based diagramming skills, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or an Associate's Degree in a technical or engineering field and 6+ years of technical or engineering experience; OR 8+ years of experience in delivering Public Safety projects in a technical role or enterprise-level technical deployment projects.
• Excellent presentation skills, highly skilled with drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar).
• Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the technical requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution; aligns requirements with customer solution needs.
• Leading and defending the project's technical and programmatic decisions; mitigate customer expectation mismatches.
• Tailoring and applying change management and systems engineering processes with customers and engineering teams.
• Assists Project Management in developing and managing costs and schedules by identifying technical risks and mitigating them.
• Participating as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager for third-party, customer, and internal meetings.
