Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to lead multi-disciplinary technical efforts within the Command Center suite. You will collaborate with project managers, application specialists, and customers to define requirements, architecture, and integration strategies for complex deployments in public safety environments.

The role requires 6+ years in engineering or 8+ years delivering public safety projects, strong presentation skills, English fluency, and travel ~25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or an Associate’s Degree in a technical or engineering field and 6+ years of technical or engineering experience; OR 8+ years of experience delivering Public Safety projects in a technical role or enterprise-level technical deployment projects.
• Excellent presentation skills, highly skilled with drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar).
• Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English.
• Willing to travel, occasionally, ~ 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the technical requirements, concepts of operation, and architecture of the overall solution.
• Leading and defending the project's technical and programmatic decisions; mitigate customer expectation mismatches.
• Tailoring and applying change management and systems engineering processes; coordinate with customer and engineering teams.
• Assists Project Management in developing and managing costs and schedules by identifying technical risks and mitigations.
• Participating as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager for third-party, customer, and internal meetings.
