Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to enable end-to-end technical deployments within Public Safety projects. You will work with Project Managers, Application Specialists, and customers to ensure architectural success and risk mitigation.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, strong presentation and communication skills, and willingness to travel ~25%. Security policy compliance (CJIS) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or an Associate’s Degree in a technical or engineering field and 6+ years of technical or engineering experience; OR 8+ years of experience delivering Public Safety projects in a technical role or enterprise-level deployments.
• Excellent presentation skills with drawing/diagramming tools (MS Visio or similar).
• Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English.
• Willing to travel, occasionally, ~25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Understand the requirements, operation concepts, and architecture of the overall solution; align requirements with customer needs with Pre/Post-Sales.
• Lead and defend the project's technical and programmatic decisions, identifying mismatches and mitigating them with the Project Manager.
• Tailor and apply change management and systems engineering processes in collaboration with the customer and engineering teams.
• Assist Project Management in developing and managing costs and schedules by identifying technical risks and mitigation options.
• Participate as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager in third-party, customer, and internal meetings.
