Job summary

AEP Service Corporation seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead base to complex projects within a matrix team environment. You will provide leadership, direction, and effective communication to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

You will develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and procurement needs while coaching team members and ensuring alignment with organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3 years of qualified experience; or Associate’s with 5 years; or High School Diploma with 7 years.
• Knowledge of outage management activities, business/financial administration, major construction field experience, project estimating, project controls, and quality control.
• Experience in utilities, nuclear power, and/or IT systems is favorable. PMP certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate assigned project activities.
• Act on behalf of the lead project manager when unavailable.
• Develop understanding and apply Waterfall and Agile project management techniques.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, tools, and staff; maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
• Lead planning meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
