Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a seasoned Project Manager to oversee complex programs in a matrix environment. You will lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communications to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

The role requires extensive PM experience, PMP certification, and a strong background in utility projects. Expect on-site work with travel and collaboration across internal teams, vendors, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with ten (10) years qualified experience; OR Associate’s with twelve (12) years; OR HS diploma with fourteen (14) years.
• PMP certification required unless waived by SVP/OPCO President.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project activities with expert level of proficiency.
• Use Waterfall and Agile project management principles for the organization.
• Provide leadership and ensure focus on Zero Harm in safety processes.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and staff; monitor costs and reallocations.
